Commercial success as we all know requires extremely hard work, can be very stressful and relentless. However it can hold a very rewarding future.
So what does the future hold for Dorking and its business community?
I feel, together and united we stand and divided we fall and fail.
To remind ourselves, the Dorking Chamber of Commerce Objectives are:
To promote, foster and advance commercial, industrial and professional enterprise.
But I also feel it is much deeper than that. The Dorking Chamber of Commerce gives all of us as commercial business people a sense of belonging. Therefore in my capacity as President for 2008 that is the value that I wish to uphold.
Combining & Unifying:

2) Our Clear Vision, and
3) Our Life's Wisdom...

to leave a stronger, richer legacy for Dorking.
I believe there is great strength in the sum of the Committee and the Chamber Members.
As much as the future brings change, which can sometimes be controversial, we need to make sure that the future accommodates the traditions of many years gone by. That is what makes Dorking individual and so unique.
Let us not forget this is our business, our town and our future.
